WELCOME to the International Festival Research Network (IFRN)
ABOUT THE NETWORK
The International Festival Research Network promotes research into international arts festivals. The network brings together scholars, artists and event organisers to address issues facing festivals in and across different places, cultures and social contexts. The IFRN also works to encourage positive change at festivals by highlighting ongoing social inequalities and sharing best practices for promoting social inclusion.
ACTIVITIES
The International Festival Research Network supports members' work with arts festivals in a number of different ways. The main activities of the network include organising academic and industry events for members and the general public as well as developing collaborative research with festival partners, delivering applied projects within local communities, and disseminating our collective work through publishing.
BECOME A MEMBER
Our network is always open to new members. If you are interested in joining the International Festival Research Network, or have an idea for an event or project you would like to discuss with members, please contact us here.
